The Bridge Dialog
The alumni network “The Bridge Dialog” brings together winners of the “Life Sciences Bridge Award” in a unique, active association that promotes exchange and knowledge transfer. It is important to the Aventis Foundation not only to honor outstanding scientists with the Life Sciences Bridge Award, but also to support them in their future careers.
Under the leadership of Professor Rudi Balling, member of the Aventis Foundation’s Board of Trustees and member of the Life Sciences Bridge Award jury, regular exchanges take place at The Bridge Dialog. Professor Dominik Niopek and Professor Carolin Schneider, 2020 and 2024 award winners, are the spokespersons and conceptual minds behind the annual retreats: “The Bridge Dialog provides a space for exchange and scientific discussion among the award winners. It creates an important interface for joint projects and innovation across the boundaries of individual disciplines in the life sciences.”
However, we also provide long-term support for further professional development. To this end, the foundation will award up to ten scholarships annually from 2026 as part of a “Bridge Dialog Fellowship.”
