Prof. Dr. Simone Fulda

This year, the Aventis Foundation and Goethe University Frankfurt will collaborate in granting the Life Sciences Bridge – Aventis Foundation Postdoctoral Award to support talented postdoctoral researchers pursuing innovative approaches in the field of life science.

As both vice president and scientist, I am thrilled that Goethe University and the Aventis Foundation are offering this support for individual researchers to help them successfully establish themselves and pursue a career in research that aspires towards full professorship. Since I am a scientist myself, I know how important it is to receive the kind of academic support and encouragement that the Life Science Bridge Awards represents: It truly is a bridge to a successful career in life science. It will provide our excellent creative researchers with the opportunity to pursue their innovative research projects and jump-start their careers in life science.

I am overwhelmed and extraordinarily pleased by the generous amount of the award, which grants each recipient € 100,000 for their research. This year, the Foundation will select up to three winners. In view of this, I can only encourage our postdoctoral researchers in the field of life sciences here at Goethe University Frankfurt to apply for this exceptional award.
