The Bridge Dialog

“The Bridge Dialog” brings together the award winners of the “Life Sciences Bridge Award” and promotes exchange and knowledge transfer.

The Aventis Foundation is committed not only to honoring outstanding early-career scientists with the award, but also to supporting them as they advance in their careers. The annual meetings provide a space for scientific exchange, mutual support, and in-depth dialogue. In September 2026, the network gathered for the second “The Bridge Dialog” retreat. The first day’s program focused on getting to know the new recipients of the “Life Sciences Bridge Award 2026” and on the presentation and discussion of their research. The second day took a creative turn: award recipients and alumni presented new research projects and planned grant proposals. The ensuing discussion focused on feasibility, ideas for expanding the projects, potential synergies, and peer feedback from the group – for example, on grant application strategies. In this way, the retreat built on ideas from the previous year: more time for collaborative brainstorming and peer consultation. The festive award ceremony for the “Life Sciences Bridge Award 2026” marked the conclusion of the retreat. Armed with new inspiration, ideas, and contacts, the “The Bridge Dialog” is now looking forward to next year’s retreat with anticipation.
